Accessories are a very important supplement of the materials from the roof covering system assortment. The necessity for their use comes from several essential rules regarding appropriate functioning of roofs. Accessories used in steep roofs that can be found in Lenko S.A. offer, can be divided on the basis of function into the following:

Roof ventilation or roof cover ventilation is crucial because of a destructive influence of water steam and dampness formed after its condensation. The best method of eradicating the steam is creating ventilating spaces or slots underneath the cover. The air flowing through the slot lifts the steam particles outside and dries the roof using the natural movements of the warm air upwards. This mechanism functions only when the slots have unobstructed  inlets and outlets. In steep roofs the inlet is situated always in the eaves and the outlet under the ridge tile on the gable or the corner. The inlets and outlets for many reasons, cannot be left without shelters. The inlet of a ventilating slot in the eaves has to have shelters protecting the roof from bird nests and bee hives. The outlet underneath the ridge tile should be protected from water and snow from the atmospheric precipice being blown in. For sheltering ventilating slots Lenko S.A. proposes the following products:

Metalwork is made on the edges and in the bending of the patch, around chimneys, scuttles, roof windows and air vents as well as elements sticking above the roof. Therefore, in the places particularly exposed to the water penetration. The appropriate execution of these elements prolongs roof’s life and eliminates leaks. Accordingly with the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure from 12th April 2002, regarding technical conditions of buildings and buildings’ locations, included in the diary of Bills N^o 75, pos. 690 from 2002, inflammable materials cannot be touching the exhaust chimney. The distance required is stated in § 265. 4. Chimney made from stone, bricks, tiles and similar non-inflammable materials as well as the exhaust and smoke pipes should not be placed at least 0,3m away from inflammable, not sheltered construction parts of the building, and at least 0,15m from sheltered cladding made of a 25mm plaster on a net (or similar). Because of the regulations (PN-EN 13501-1) most of the membranes and roof films have an E or D fire category, meaning they are inflammable, and thus cannot be directly in contact with concrete exhaust or smoke chimneys. Joining them with chimneys requires using a non-inflammable transitional material. For those purposes our company offers a special tape, which allows to tightly bond the membranes and films with the chimney accordingly with the rules determined by the aforementioned regulations.
